Elastomer

Elastomer for elastomer struts and other suspension and damping applications. These are the elastomers that are installed on Bülk velomobiles when you order the elastomer struts.

 For 12mm rods, outer diameter 34mm, 12mm high. The special shape of the inner hole is designed to center the elastomer on the rod but prevent it from squeezing the rod during compression. However, since it's made of foam material, the transverse expansion is very low anyway. This also promotes water drainage and prevents capillary action that could transport water upwards.

 They are available in "medium" (2 grooves) and "hard" (3 grooves) (other hardnesses available upon request). The Bülk comes standard with six "medium" elastomers.
